TweetTabs is a new simple Twitter search and trends client that just launched by TweetMeme today. It allows you search Twitter and follow the hot and emerging Twitter trends and tags in real-time. Use the search box to easily search Twitter for tweets, TweetTabs will automatically update each tab with new content when it comes in. Unlike TweetDeck, it’s completely web browser based, no need to download/install any software. The site itself offers Twitter’s current trending topics as tabs, and the option to add custom tabs by conducting a search. The search results auto-refresh in what appears to be near real-time.
What you can do with TweetTabs:
- Open as many individual tabs with different search results in each;
- Integration with the TweetMeme API to allow users to preview short url’s;
- Ability to one-click retweet if you are logged into TweetMeme;
- Drag and drop each tab to change ordering;
- One-click trending topics to open new tabs;
- Retweet, view profile, reply to tweets via the Twitter web interface.
