Google Chrome Frame builds Chrome into Internet Explorer

Chromium.org today is releasing an early version of Google Chrome Frame. With Google Chrome Frame, you can enable the open web technologies like the HTML5 canvas tag in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, and take advantage of JavaScript performance improvements to make your apps faster and more responsive. It’s an open source Internet Explorer plugin designed to let Microsoft’s browser use the features and performance of Google’s own Chrome browser. The Google Chrome Frame software lets IE 6, 7, or 8 use Chrome to render web pages and execute their JavaScript programs. Currently this plugin is in the developer preview stage, and web developers must insert a line of code onto their websites that engages Chrome Frame when a person visits the site.
