You can send an item knowing only your recipient’s Twitter ID or email address. Imagine never having to disclose your personal details to anyone. The service notifies the intended recipient that someone wants to send them something via a tweet or email. The recipient chooses whether they want to accept the parcel and fill in their delivery address. This piece of information is stored encrypted on SendSocial. All the sender gets is a barcode address which he/she prints and attaches to the parcel. The sender notifies the couriers myHermes that are working with SendSocial and then they collect and deliver the package for you. Be first try SendSocial for 2009 Christmas gifts to your friends.

How it Works?

Post a tweet – simply including the URL to your shoutbox in their tweet, the message is shown in near real-time automatically;

Directly from shoutbox – your visitor can sign in via Twitter to add their message.

You can also customize the look of your shoutbox and set it to filter swear words. When somebody visits your website, all they need to do is sign in with their Twitter account and they are all set to post a message on the shoutbox. You can also block any notorious users from using your shout box by signing in to your account at Jotabl.

If you’re a WordPress.com user, you will be implementing the automatic Twitter posting definitely. Today the Publicize feature gets a major addition, the ability to send your posts to Twitter. You can go with the default tweet or customize the message, and override the automatic settings on a per post basis as well.

To enable the new feature, head over to your Dashboard My Blogs admin page. In the Publicize column, check off the Twitter column for each of the blogs you’d like to enable to auto-tweet. You will be asked to authenticate each blog via OAuth, after which you’ll see a “Publicize” section at the bottom of the Publish box each time you write a new post.

To override any of the settings for an individual post, just click the Edit link in the Publicize section. You can edit the text of the tweet or turn it off altogether for that post. Note also that the connection settings are per blog and per user, so if you run a multi-author blog each individual writer will have to authenticate to their own Twitter account.

However, the giant company like Google, Yahoo! or even the new search engine Bing haven’t offered this service yet. It’s believable that Twitter, the leader and rapidly growing of Micro-blogging social service, has a great potential and ability to perform real-time social web search. Except the original Twitter Search, we have selected 20 best real-time or almost real-time social web and Twitter search engines. Feel free to share any Twitter search web applications or other awesome real-time social search engines on comments.

General Twitter Search Engines

Twitter Search
The Twitter’s own search engine, it’s very simple and clear to use but merely sorts the result chronologically as there is no any algorithm inside. Therefor you want a advanced search engine to show the most read, most authoritative, most linked to or most retweeted items, it’s not your choice. Anyway you can subscribe the search result via RSS feed.

Twazzup
If you are a serious Twitter user, Twazzup provides you more information out of Twitter its own search engine. Twazzup is a very useful and flexible Twitter search engine that offers almost all of what Twitter Search does itself, plus a few columns of algorithmically generated results such as Featured Tweets, Top Trendmakers, Related Photos, Most Popular Links and Contributors by tweets, be retweets, by name and by date. There is also a great list of keywords based on your search results that you can use to refine your query.

Topsy

Topsy is a new social search engine that provides search results on a topic based on the influence of how much people are talking about it. That influence is measured by how many times people have tweeted, that person’s messages, as well as the number of people who follow or read the person’s posts. In other words, websites who have their messages forwarded the most have the most influence.

The search service is built on the back of Twitter’s API and combines information like retweets, and general user influence to produce relatively accurate search results. Topsy also aggregates links to outside pages from Twitter that have been garbled with URL shorteners that have become popular on Twitter.
